Give Kids A Smile 2025

The Give Kids A Smile® (GKAS) program, launched nationally in 2003, provides underserved children with free oral health care. Each year approximately 6,500 dentists and 30,000 dental team members volunteer at local GKAS events to provide free oral health education, screenings, preventive and restorative treatment to over 300,000 children.

February is National Children’s Dental Health Month. GKAS events kick off annually on the first Friday in February, which is Give Kids A Smile Day. GKAS events are also held throughout the year.

2024 MSDAF Results

In 2024 the MSDAF successfully supported 27 events across the state of Maryland. 5,300+ children received oral health education and many others were able to receive treatment through our private practice partners on the first day of GKAS, Friday, February 2nd and beyond.

2025 Events

In 2025, we will propel our efforts higher with more screenings and dental care being provided expanding across the 12 components of Maryland. Please check back as events are constantly updated. If you are a parent interested in bringing your child/ children to one of our community events please email Foundation@msda.com for details.

In conjunction with GKAS, the MSDAF is hosting a school supply drive until February 2025 for the schools we will be visiting. Simply drop off donations to our headquarters located at 8901 Herrmann Drive Suite A, Columbia, MD 21045 or purchase items from our Amazon Wishlist to be mailed to our office.

  • Community College of Baltimore County Dental Hygiene School Kid's Spring Smile-tacular (No volunteers needed)* Saturday, Feb 22 8:00  am - 12:00 pm The CCBC Dental Hygiene students provide a free preventive dental hygiene visit for children ages 5-17. The visit includes an exam, cleaning, and a fluoride treatment. Appointments are required. To request an appointment, please call 443-840-3340 and leave a message with your name and daytime phone number. We will contact you to schedule the appointment.
